Terms of Use — Electrical Pro Toolkit

Please read these terms before using Electrical Pro Toolkit ("the app"). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What the app is

Electrical Pro Toolkit is a set of calculators that produce estimates for planning purposes. It is a convenience tool, not an authority.

2. What the app is not

The app is not a substitute for:

• a licensed electrician or electrical contractor;
• a chartered or professional engineer;
• the authority having jurisdiction over your installation;
• the applicable standard itself (IEC 60364, NFPA 70 / NEC, or your local code);
• the manufacturer's data for the specific cable, device or module you install.

Nothing the app displays is professional advice, a design, a certification, or a statement that any installation complies with any code.

3. No warranty of accuracy or compliance

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

In particular, and without limiting the above:

• Reference tables in the app, including current-carrying capacities and correction factors, are convenience values that may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong for your cable, installation method or jurisdiction.
• The app implements simplified methods. Several calculations deliberately omit terms that matter in some situations, and say so on screen.
• Standards are revised. The app may reflect an older edition than the one that applies to your work.

4. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• verifying every result against the applicable standard, the manufacturer's data, and the requirements of your local authority, before acting on it;
• deciding whether a calculation method suits your installation;
• ensuring that any work is designed, carried out, inspected and certified by persons competent and licensed to do so.

Never energise, install or modify an electrical installation on the basis of this app alone.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any loss or damage — including property damage, business loss, loss of data, or economic loss — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app or any result it produces.

This clause does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. In particular, nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that the law of your country does not permit to be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of liability for personal injury, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Where liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

6. Privacy

See the Privacy Policy. In summary: no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. The only data that leaves your device is a pair of coordinates sent to the European Commission's PVGIS service when you tap Calculate Yield in the Solar Estimator.

7. Trademarks

NEC® and NFPA 70® are registered trademarks of the National Fire Protection Association. IEC® is a registered trademark of the International Electrotechnical Commission. These marks are used here only to identify the standards a calculation is based on. The app is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by the NFPA, the IEC, or the European Commission.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes, and the date at the top of this document will change.
