In short
No accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. Your calculations never leave your device. The only personal data processed is the approximate coordinate pair you choose to send to the PVGIS service when you tap Calculate Yield in the Solar Estimator. This app does not store or log it.
Two preferences, both stored locally and removed when you delete the app: your chosen language, and your chosen electrical standard (which also selects metric or imperial units). Neither leaves the device.
Calculator inputs and results are held in memory while a screen is open and are not written to storage or transmitted anywhere.
The Solar Estimator has a Use Current GPS Location button. If you tap it, the app asks for permission to read your approximate location while the app is in use, and fills the latitude and longitude fields with the result. The app requests reduced accuracy and rounds to two decimal places — about 1 km — because the PVGIS dataset resolves to roughly 4 km and finer precision would serve no purpose.
When you tap Calculate Yield in the Solar Estimator, the app sends the latitude, longitude, peak power and system loss values shown on screen to PVGIS, the Photovoltaic Geographical Information System operated by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre, and displays the estimate it returns.
The app attaches no identifier, no account and no device information to that request — only those four numbers. Like any HTTPS request it necessarily carries your IP address and a user agent to the receiving server, and what PVGIS does with that is governed by the European Commission's own terms, not by this app. It is the only outbound request the app makes. If you never open the Solar Estimator, the app makes no network requests at all.

The app is a professional tool and is not directed at children. Since it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. This app holds no personal data about you: nothing is stored server-side, there are no accounts, and the coordinates you send to PVGIS are not retained by the app. Deleting the app removes the stored language and standard preferences. For anything PVGIS itself retains, contact the European Commission using the link above.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. A change that materially affects how data is handled will also be described in the app's release notes.
